Custom Atelier turns an image you love — a portrait, a pet, a place, a moment — into a complete diamond painting kit. It is the most personal thing we make, and every piece is prepared by hand before it becomes a kit.
How it works
- Choose your size and upload. Pick a size and orientation, then upload your photograph on the product page.
- We prepare it by hand. A person on our team converts your image into a diamond painting design — not an automated filter.
- Your kit is made and shipped. You receive a complete kit: the printed canvas, the matched diamonds and the tools to begin.
Choosing a good photograph
The better the photograph, the better the finished piece. Aim for:
- A sharp, well-lit image — natural light is ideal.
- A clear main subject, not lost in a busy background.
- The highest resolution you have.
Blurry, dark or very low-resolution images are harder to translate. We review every photo by hand and will flag anything before production.
Choosing a size
Detail depends on size. For a face or fine detail, choose 50×50 cm or larger — smaller sizes can flatten features. We will advise on the best crop and orientation for your image. See our Size Guide for more.

Can I use a phone photo? Yes, if it is sharp and well-lit — modern phone cameras are more than good enough.
Will I see a preview? We prepare each design by hand; contact us if you would like to discuss your image before ordering.
Are custom pieces returnable? As personalised goods, custom pieces are exempt from the standard right of return unless faulty. See Returns.
